Thumbnail Divine Hat
A front post and shell based hat, much easier than it looks. Donnetta Johnson (Ravelry id: smileynetta) has created a preemie version of the hat that looks super cute using sport weight yarn, she's generously allowed me to post it here, thanks! The infant sized version was written by Kelly Gilman (Ravelry id: fairieknits). Thanks Kelly!
I tried this pattern. I made it with sport weight and a smaller hook. I might need to try it again to the specifications. Cool pattern though :)

This hat is truly divine. I made it last night night in no time at all. I used AU 12 ply and a 5.00 and 6.00 hook. I could see as I was getting to the end it was going to be little too long and a little too wide so I adjusted the lower edging and added a few increases. This is only because Au yarn is different to US yarn. It is a simple technique with a lovely effect. I will post a picture on my blog. http://cats-rockin-crochet.blogspot.com/ Thanks for sharing your free patterns. Cathy.

Great pattern. I made one today & did 12 dc to start instead of 10. I wanted a child's hat & used I hook for hat and Caron One Pounder yarn. Turned out beautiful and thanks so much for sharing your talent.

I just finished this hat and was going to donate it but I think I'll keep it for myself! I enjoyed making this hat very much and will make more (for donation and gifts). I used some left over Pound of Love in blue which worked out nicely but I bet the hat is even better in a snuggly yarn. I've posted the hat on my blog and linked back to you; credit where it is due! http://knot.krisp.com/ Thank you for the great pattern and I can't wait to try another of yours.

This pattern makes a really beautiful hat, but it turned out far too large, even though I used the yarn and hook indicated. So I just pulled out a few rounds until it fit my head.

I'm excited about starting this hat. However, I'm a little new at this I know how to do the stitches but I don't know what "Adjustable Ring" means. Could you please help me. Thanks

This is a wonderful pattern. The swirl is beautiful and easy to work. I really appreciate the ribbed design on the band. I've never found this in crocheting before and was extremely pleased with the results. Our daughter loved it! Thank you.
