| | You really need to give proper credit to Shawn Smith here, and link back to http://www.shawnimals.com/ somewhere on the pattern page. *Whispers* changing the arms doesn't make it original--we can still see the square head and the stumpy little legs we have loved and adored for years. Most people don't mind sharing ideas and really appreciate free publicity when it's out there, but stealing makes artists mad. | | Uhh, I don't know who Shawn Smith is, but the ninja design is based off another pattern I've made but never posted for little rabbit creatures (just left off the ears). The face is based off of ninjas I'd seen other people make on Craftster. Looked at the "shawnimals" ninjas and if I had wanted to copy them they would look the same, this isn't a copy, the arms are different and the head is different. I should be able to make a ninja with stumpy legs even though someone else has thought of it first.
I've been drawing little creatures with bodies like my ninja here since 2nd grade (which is more than 15 years ago) If anything I should credit Miffy the rabbit because that's where the original idea for my rabbits came from, which I then used for the body of the ninja (the ninja idea came from my husband). So no, I did not steal, sorry to disappoint, but more than one person can try to make something cute with stumpy legs.
